Nothing. I would guess that he is either making it up or reposting the twitter nonsense about Stacey Dash as if it were a new topic. Notice that there is no qualification as to who "they" are yet the assumptions on here go on anyway.

If you are in favor of suspending reason and objectivity in favor of racial pride.... Nevermind, you and "your people" with this mindset are indeed beyond help. PS: I am sure there were a bunch of proud people in Nazi Germany while atrocities were committed and within the Taliban while the Twin Towers fell. Pride can be a very dangerous thing when not tempered with reason..

You really aren't helping your argument. The world has changed in the past 40-50 years, you apparently haven't.

While I understand and agree with your premise about danger in pride without reason, this portion of your analogy is incorrect. The Afghan people really don't identify with a national identity. To them it is family, then village, then tribe. The tribal identity is as high level as most of the population in Afghanistan goes. BTW, that's one of the major issues over there. Since they don't care about being "Afghan" people, they don't really care about who is in power. All they are concerned with is local stability and security and don't care who provides it. That's why they really didn't care about the Taliban being in control.

You start out in 1954 by saying, "N*gger, n*gger, n*gger." By 1968 you can't say "n*gger" — that hurts you. Backfires. So you say stuff like forced busing, states' rights and all that stuff. You're getting so abstract now [that] you're talking about cutting taxes, and all these things you're talking about are totally economic things and a byproduct of them is [that] blacks get hurt worse than whites. And subconsciously maybe that is part of it. I'm not saying that. But I'm saying that if it is getting that abstract, and that coded, that we are doing away with the racial problem one way or the other. You follow me — because obviously sitting around saying, "We want to cut this," is much more abstract than even the busing thing, and a hell of a lot more abstract than "N*gger, n*gger."-Lee Atwater,Southern Strategy[

There is not one thing in my lifetime that would make black people around my age think they were treated differently, well except people of their own skin exploiting them if that is what you mean. GTFO with the bull shite that you and most likely everyone u know probably never faced from white people. In my lifetime, I have seen race warfare and I promise it is not the white people who are the ones killing, robbing, and have overall tone of hatred for blacks. It is the other way around.Statistics back up the first two, my eyes back up the third one.

For every person voting for President Obama "because he's black", there is another person voting against President Obama "because he's black".

probably fairly accurate. blacks are voting for obama because hes a democrat. they are turning out in greater numbers because hes black, though.

I don't know a single person voting against Obama because he is black. I am sure there is still a few out there, and they are stupid pieces of shite who would be better off not voting. Exactly how I feel about both those that do, and don't vote for anyone based solely on race.

PoliBoard has its own definition of racism, which is based off the hivemind. Don't worry about it, just laugh at it. There was a long thread last night with "colored people" in the title. Don't take this board seriously.

You have some valid concerns but you also have been fed a steady diet of bull shite from fear mongers who make a living stoking the fears of black folks.

Obviously I'll want substantive proof that a significant percentage of voters are voting against Obama because he's black, and not the hundreds of other reasons for voting against him. That doesn't mean I'll refuse to acknowledge it. It may be difficult to prove, but if someone wants to make a sweeping claim like that they better be able to back it up with figures.
