re: BBC Film Crew Held at Gunpoint After Trying to Sneak into Area 51

My brothers and I were four wheeling many years ago close by the base. We must have gotten a little to close because we saw three Humvees coming right for us. We got our asses out of there. I'm not sure how close we were but I know we were in the vicinity of Freedom Ridge. Those guards were probably laughing for scaring the hell out of us.

Those guards are bored out of their minds and are literally chomping at the bits for some action.

No, but trespassing is still a crime, even in Nevada.

If someone broke into your house, would you shoot them, or beat them back with rhetoric?

Which Amendment of the Bill of Rights includes the right to pursue happiness?

I am illiterate in these matters so I will just ask.

Is OSI basically the Air Force's version of the Navy's NCIS?

Of course. I never said nothing should happen to them. I only said that perhaps our government doesn't actually have the right to use deadly force in these situations, due to the 5th amendment guarantee of due process.

I also acknowledge that our government doesn't follow the constitution. I also realize that most people will rationalize that use of deadly force on military installations is justified, despite the 5th amendment guarantee of due process.

Yep. But I'm not the state.

Yes. But the Navy uses a pretty much exclusive civilian force in NCIS due to the tailhook scandal in the early 90's.

The Air Force uses a mix of civilian and active duty personnel.

I believe their range of scope is different. NCIS really involves just matters of the Navy where as OSI's extent covers the the AF,DoD as well as US Gov. So they have a further reach. Plus they dont have a TV show. (That I know of)

Regardless of the legality of what happened, those BBC people are idiots for trying. I know it isn't legal for somebody to shoot me if I go through the hood at 1am yelling racial slurs out the window of my vehicle, but I'm still not gonna do it.

No sir, I was in the Air Force and worked with them on many occasions. I started in Security Forces and then went through Raven school before cross training into Tac-P.

Does the BBC not release how much land A51 encompasses?
you better believe the guards knew they were on the property, but they had a couple hundred more miles until they reached anything, so why ruin your dinner because of someones stupidity
