I ate at Mantles last time I went. I remember it was good but don't know what I got.
For breakfast I'd prefer to stay near Times Square near the hotel but I don't mind hopping on the subway to go somewhere else. For lunch ill be all over the place so anywhere is fine. Plan to spend a day around Central Park area, a day on the south end near Ground Zero, Wall St, Chinatown, etc. probably another day in between and the rest doing whatever we feel like trying.

Ess-a-Bagel for a breakfast or pre-lunch

If you go to Chinatown I recommend Pings Seafood for Dim Sum. Place is bomb.
