I missed the first 15 or so minutes, but nothing has dissuaded me from my opinion that this is the best new show on TV this year.

Do CW really not show the episode more than once? It isn't even replaying any day soon either. I forgot to set the DVR.
How soon till it's up on their website?

I am watching as well and like it so far, but I know nothing about the comics. That may keep me out of these threads with all the comic talk going on.

They're not spoilers bro. This show is based on characters and the origin from the comics but that's it.
I don't think there will be much comic talk anyway. Not many people here read comics or Green Arrow for that matter.

i watched the first two episodes yesterday and like the show but i think the guy playing oliver is a terrible actor.

I do wish he was a little more intense when he is GA but maybe they were worried with all the Batman influences that a pissed off gravely voice when he fights crime would be too much.

They're doing a good job of balancing back story with villain of the week stuff. I kinda wish we'd see more of the full season arc stuff with the mom and her new husband, but I know not every episode can hit everything.
It's building well though.

What was the flashback though? Oliver had a team of professionals hunting after him on the Island, and the Native guy was trying to save his life.

Not sure. Almost seems like the island is some type of training ground for mercenaries and assassins. Could explain how Oliver got to be a captain in the Russian mob, as was shown this episode.

Yeah, that was a little surprising. I'm glad Diggle's on board though. I did kind of see that coming early on, but it's still good to see.

Him being on board is probably going to be a key to him getting off..
also extremely excited to see how Diggle turns him into a "hero" instead of a killer. Awesome episode, was pretty cool, and a lot of fun.
