Seems pretty close in quality of opponents...

Even closer when you break down the games. The game against UGA, has to be looked at properly. USCe had a 21 point lead in the first. 7 from a long drive, solid points. THe next 7 come from a tipped pass at the line for an INT, not a pick 6 but short field off a turnover. The next score came from a kick return. I don't have the play to know if it was blown coverage or a good return.

I know these things are part of football, and I'm not saying discount the win at all, but UGA is not built to shoot it out like a WVU or TTU. ANd I'm not saying USCe wouldn't have still put up 35, but UGA had to throw from the get go to get back in the game. If the big plays are eliminated, it's a completely different ball game to start. We would maybe be playing a 5-1 USCe team, or they may still be indeafeted but have won 21-14 or 17. That's the beauty of college football, and for people thinking we can't/won't win, Death Valley is worth an X-factor.

Here's the play, you tell me.

Ace also popped one against Mizzou...

On the flip side of your argument, after they got up by 21 points in the first, Spurrier went totally vanilla with the play calling. Run, run and more run. Connor Shaw only attempted 10 pass the entire game. Seven in the first qtr, and only one attempt in the each of the next 3 quarters. They were still able to score 14 points after that pretty much only running the ball and controlling the clock. Sound familiar?

One thing going for us is Spurrier has a history of not being able to put together two successive big game victorys.
