Smart thing to do. Any offers JH gets will have to be loaded with contingencies for falling off the wagon. I just don't see the big spenders throwing Cecil like numbers at him without it. I expect him to stay when all is said and done.

With the new TV deal coming into effect in 2014 and essentially giving teams an extra $25 million to spend, I think you'll see contracts continue to really rise. Don't think Hamilton gets Fielder's deal (Fielder despite being fat is ridiculously durable and was only 28) but he will get close to 200 IMO and the Rangers won't come close IMO.
And for those that think Napoli is signing anywhere for 5 million/year.....come on.
