No. But I am much better at knowing my limitations and I am willing to bet that I am not nearly as stubborn.

I do not.

But, I do have the ability to predict w/ fairly stunning accuracy, his play calls, and as a fan this is somewhat disturbing, b/c I figure that guys like Nick Saban and Will Muschamp probably can too.

IgnOrant entitled fans. Do you know how hard it is to win the west? Let alone the SEC title and them the NT. get a clue

Umm yes I think i do. We did it last year with pretty much the same team. There are very few teams that can compete with our talent level every year. You do realize that before the season started, we were 1 of the untouchables until we play Bama because of how many big time players we returned. Now, im worried about every game we play because of how bad our offense is. Open your eyes and get a clue rick, we have an NFL caliber defense with an elementary offense because of the system Les lives by. The only schools that are on par with our talent level in the country is Bama, UF, maybe USCe and USCw, maybe Oregon and WV. THATS IT. Its not talent that is letting us down, its our offensive philosophy. It doesnt matter if everyone of our OL were 100% healthy, you cant run the ball with 9 guys in the box. Yet this is what Les turns to when its a big series. Or, he calls 2 TOs to draw up a toss dive jump pass on the opponents 8 yard line.

This could be the most divided ive seen the Rant in a long time

I gave my list, NFLers. It's your job or OP's to prove they could've done it out of high school.
My claim is they were developed enough to make it to the NFL, if you want to go out on that very skinny limb and prove....or even give argument otherwise, it's your fall.

Ridley
Blue
Williford
Lonergan
Lafell
Doucet
Quinn Johnson
Nic Jacobs
Lee
Copeland

again, bell curve stuff. How a player develops is as much, or more, determined by their work ethic and commitment.

I'm sure there are a few others. But they are out numbered by the players who regressed under this offense.

Exactly. And i should of said not that many players in the passing game improved over the years, except Lafell

Finally some Sheek input. And hes got the right of it. We are paying Les more than every coach in the SEC except Saban, but hes at the bottom of the barrel when it comes to coaching.

Chicken should just give in and shut the Rant down to appease all the butt hurt Pumper People who just can't stand open and honest discussion of LSU football. It's almost if they're all really paid informants planted from the Athletic Department to defend the company line. Strange little creatures that do not want us discussing football on a message board unless it's all sunshine and roses because we don't know more than the head coach.

3? who?

Why was this touted as the best oline we have had? Why is the drop off so sever? Why aren't the 2nd string guys ready? Maybe if we had a better offense we could develop more talent rather than letting them learn under pressure.

This happened from 2008-10.

Funny thing is, none of the people I talk to IRL are like that, and I talk to a wide variety of different types across the board.

All of them are better than that 1st camp, I say.
You think Peterson, Mo, would've been 1st corner straight out of hs?

again, it's not necessarily the recognizing of mistakes, but the masses who have all the answers without knowing the internal circumstances. They go on and on with their strategies assuming they'd work with the conditions the man has going on now. They drag him through the mud KNOWING they have all the solutions and yet don't know what's happening behind closed doors.

I find myself constantly wondering how all these folks have all this inside info on which coach does what, etc.

Yes.

I have no basis to weight this. He never looked better than any of the others. There was never alot of distance between the backs.

Williford
Lonergan
Look the same as when they got here.

Lafell
His stats do not bear that out. More TD's, but fewer receptions, yards, ypc, etc.

Doucet
regressed in his SR year, statistically.

Quinn Johnson
Copeland

Well, they had to learn a new position. . .so I guess you can hang your hat on that.

If you call "Deangelo Peterson leaving" as a sign of his improvement.

Ron Cooper was a stud.

I don't think Miles has any significant involvement with defensive coaching, though.

Most people understand that we are talking offensive players.

This is why the SEC is on top of the Football pyramid now because it is a dog eat dog conference

Miles has achieved enough to earn him a lot of credit to take care of the debits but in this current day and age it is barely enough to buy him a year or two.

Whether it is unfortunate or not - I don't know but it is the state of affairs.

yeah, you are rewarded by what you have done, but your current status is only as solid as the year in which you are engaged.

Miles has been rewarded well for his past success. His future, like every coach in the conference isn't guaranteed. There is a reason this conference is one of the best, if not the best in football and that is a commitment to excellence.
