Interesting. So the 1st pick can be rated 64 from the start.
That's a dream. In 2k10 you started out as like a 42.

Oh wow. That would have been incredibly frustrating.

2k10 was brutal. Not only was your guy a turd to start but you had to beat guys out in training camp. I barely edged out Delonte West on the Cavs that year.

Ouch. I would have liked to see some type of training camp though. That would have been a nifty feature to start with.

Yeah it did allow you to join any teams training camp which is more handy than the draft process imo

I think there's a fine line. 2k10 was just too long. You had to play what? 6 full length games before you even got a shot at the NBA? I don't mind having a training camp, but having to play that many games before you even get to the NBA was too much.

2k13 it's too hard to be the #1 draft pick. i've broke the top 10 twice.

with a PG and an athletic SF.

A triple double and A+ teammate rating are the answer.

lol. i haven't tried in a while. i may have to try again. i've gotten a flat A, but no where near a triple double.

with the PG, i can get the 10 points and 10 assists, not 10 rebounds

with the SF, i can get the 10 points and 10 rebounds, not the 10 assists.

plus the coach just pulls you as soon as you get hot.

Yep. You just have to play a super fast pace and pretty much be involved on every score. Be it assist, rebound, or the points. I've gotten the triple double, but not the A+. 24 points, 10 rebs, 11 assists. But I had to play lackluster defense on my guy to get the rebounds. Thus the no A+.

ETA: I'm pretty sure Chris Smoove said you have to get 30-10-10. To go first as a PG.

What sucks is that the showcase stays at 5 minute quarter length no matter what you set it to.

Who here has broken any major records with their myPlayers? I've gotten 88 pts in one game against the bobcats, but that's the closest I've gotten. I think I set the record for most 3 pointers amde in a season as well.

- 10 3 pointers in a playoff game. NBA record.
- Most 3 pointers in a NBA regular season
- Best 3PT% in the NBA regular season
- Holds a ton of single season records for the Hornets(points, 3pters, FG%)

unfortunately i didn't get to continue breaking the records for the Hornets, because they didn't have enough money to re-sign me after my rookie season.

A few for the Heat. Pistol Pete has hit 11 3's in 3.5 quarters several times, but amazingly when your player is tired you can hardly make layups much less 3's.
so 12 hasn't happened yet.

i haven't missed a free throw in the playoffs in my entire career.

I broke the NBA record for most 3's in a game, and I broke Jordan's record for most points in a playoff game (63).

Just played the Bobcats and got a career high of 35 points. Still newb to the game, but it got much tougher to score as I started getting a ton of double teams that I just passed out of.

Pro Tip: When you get double teamed behind the 3 point line just do a spin move to the left. You roll right aroud the two defenders and it always works (for me)

Also, usually when you do this you are greeted by a wide open lane so you can walk right up to the basket and slam it down

I'm generally left open or 1 on 1 at the 3 pt line. My guy was SG that was a defensive specialist. After lots of VC grinding, I've gotten my 3pt shooting to a respective level (70), but shots are iffy to go in despite getting ~B average on most of them.

This, but if you aren't great at handling the ball, just turbo in the direction of the center/pf. Since most double teams involve one of the two.
