Experience doesn't matter. They're damn good.

ETA: frick you. I told you Showalter would be a great fit when he got hired and caught 10 kinds of shite on here.

Not really, no. And he was busy getting the Yankees to go down in order. He looked pretty locked in, which I wasn't confident about, given last night's debacle.

I didn't rip Showalter. I ripped the Duquette signing as the GM. But he's pulled all the right levers. Buck's been solid since he got to Baltimore.

My last playoff memory involving the O's is Armando Benitez giving up a shot to Tony Fernandez.

Are you still sleeping on the couch after the WC game

I really want to see the O's and Reds in the WS or any WS that does not involve the Yankees or Cardinals.

I was somewhat skeptical of Duquette as well but he and Buck seem to be on the same page. Buck is a pretty damn good manager though. He was at NY before they started their run and Texas before they had theirs. He may not have been the entire reason, but that isn't coincidence. The guy knows his personnel.

O's obviously needed this win, but now they might actually have the starter advantage in the next two games:

Gonzalez v. Kuroda
Tillman v. Hughes

If the O's can win Game 3, I loooooove their chances in Game 4 to close out the series. Don't want to see a Game 5 against CC.

Nope. Mrs. Baloo was very cool about the game and she watches the games, telling me that she's very happy for me, that I finally get my team in the postseason instead of rooting for her team. She was surprisingly mellow.

I'm cautiously optimistic here. EXTREMELY cautious.

Tillman v. Hughes

Same thing here. Hughes is better at home and was better the second half.

I feel good about both matchups ONLY because they're in NY.

If NY loses game 3, I wouldn't be shocked to see Girardi throw game 4. CC is SICK on 3 days rest.

I trust Hughes, he has pitched well since first 2 months and has been in postseason before

I'm the biggest Hughes fanboy on earth but if its 2-1 Orioles, I wouldn't mind Carston Charles
