Start using McGee and Shepard more and Hill in a one-back set

these guys are versatile and can play RB and WR. We need to have both of them in the game more because you can run different personnel formations with same guys. you could go from a two-back to one back four wide. you could go from three wide to I formation and it really hurts the D-Cs ability to match personnel. That would require us to start using pre-snap shifts and I don't think miles will implement that.
clearly lining up in the I and hammering Copeland and Ware for 2 yards isn't working long haul.
We need to get creative.
It appears they really like Hill since he was the lone back in the game at the end.
Let's ride him in some one back sets and use more screens and draws.
time to break away from pure ground and pound and get some guys on the field who have the potential to break big plays. We clearly can't execute well enough to go 10 plays without shooting ourself in the foot.

I'm happy to help. the key is be cock strong like me and have as much width in your back swing as possible. getting Wide is key.

Why Magee hasnt been used yet is beyond me... It's obvious our offens has been in a slump the past two years

Hell, I kinda like this. Better than what's not working now, wouldn't you say? I say keep Meh-ttenberger in shotgun most of the time so he can see the defense.

some guys will never get it Carramrod. you are one of the few who do.

I like it. At least its a well thought out plan that opens up the offense. Most are happy with just canning Les or Mett. At least you used some football knowledge and it looks like a decent strategy. Good post!

We damn sure don't have an offense as it stands now. I don't know where to start. We can't block for a running attract or for pass blocking. The only receiver we have is Landry, but he must not be one of Les's favorite.

thanks Chuck.
it just strikes me that we have no home run threats that ever really see the field. ford gets maybe 2 carries.
McGee, shep (as a rb) and hill seem to have more breakaway threat and if we spread out more and create some space we force the D to cover the whole field.
when we are in the I, the field is reduced to a 12 yard box inside the tackles. result: FAIL

The key is to get the ball to your playmakers, no matter how you do it. Thats the basic fundamentals of offense. We dont do that. We arent trying to find ways to get them the ball. If we cant pass it to them, hand it to them. If we cant run them between the tackles, slip a screen outside the ends. You have to take what they give you, you cant just create offense everytime.

crazy how seeing a screen seems such a foreign concept to this offense.
