I mean I know the bounty scandal and losing your HC for an entire season is bad, but still...

There is TOO MUCH talent on that team to be playing like this. Absolutely terrible.

Atlanta has pretty much locked up the division not even halfway through the season...

Actually there isn't a ton of talent. Payton is just a mad genius.

No D and they can't run the ball.

Lost their playcaller and terrible defense. Pretty simple.

The defense is horrible. The offense could be more consistent but they have the worst D in the league.

no. There's maybe 1 defensive player who would be a starter on other teams. But he injures his vagina all the time so it doesn't matter.

Talent isn't the issue here. It is coaching.

People honestly didn't think that the head coach was that important. This team is proving just how important the HC and coordinators are.

The problem defensively is that the scheme the Saints run this year is a complete opposite from the one they ran under Gregg Williams

Spags needs front 4 pass rush, which the Saints are not built to have, because the D-line in williams' defense was basically there to block people so the blitzes could get home.

The coverages are WAY more complicated. The pressure packages are more zone based. If he had guys that fit his system they'd probably be ok.

Offensively..they really miss Sean Payton's ability to make in-game adjustments and hide the weaknesses of his team. Not to mention the week-to-week preparation aspect.

we hired a DC who runs a D that we absolutely don't have the talent for

our offense is so-so for the saints. it will get hot and stall out. we forget the run. it's a lot like 2010

they draft RBs in the first round instead of getting a defensive player.

you know what happened.

they have are missing a hc, the interim head coach, and their gm. it's got to be odd all around.

they've been in every single game this season and HC can easy make up for that one possession loss every game.

in the NFL, there isnt a lot of difference in a team that goes 15-1 and a team that goes 5-11..

some lucky breaks, a little better QB play, a little better coaching, etc..

take away some good players, the head coach, etc.. thats huge

If the Saints sweep the Falcons (not likely) that could really change things
