Never had them where I hunted. Didn't have any when I hunted Ft Adams. Wish I still hunted up there though.

You had them at Percy Creek Hunting Club when you were there. That is where the OP pic is from

About three years ago we were hunting Tensas and my brother had one climb the tree next to him. He said when it saw him it froze, and he waved at it. Said it shimmied back down the tree and ran off so fast it wasn't even funny!

I had one hang out in a food plot one afternoon. I wouldn't go as far to say the deer were afraid of the bear but they definitely kept an eye on him. SW Mississippi.

Here is one I had on camera at our place about 7 miles west of woodville on Hwy 24. I have another pic somewhere of one with a collar on. They are always messing with or looking at my camera when it takes a pic. weird

We have quite a few of them closer to Pickneyville...

I was on the stand with a 45-70 and 3 bullets 2 years ago and a black bear came and sat down about 100 yards away close to dark. I shot in its direction before I would get out of the stand but it came right back... Shot a little closer in its direction and it finally took off. Kept that gun loaded the whole time on the way back to the bike.
