I find this a hilarious choice of words considering the context.

Yeah but I can still remember those days very well. The frustrated phone calls to my best guy friend in another state giving the details of another failed date.

Being disappointed when the ones I really like didn't pan out and figuring out how to get rid of the ones that I didn't like but wouldn't leave me the hell alone.

Going shopping for more cute first date clothes. That lil excited feeling getting ready for a first date. And then calling a gf as you are driving home to see if she wants to grab a drink since the date ended up totally sucking.

It stands to be quite the cold winter unless winds change.
Company around the fire tends to take a bit of chill out of the nights.
I quit drinking in the daytime though, too many empty calories, too much time not spent active. Cut out drinking at all for the most part. Alone at least.
