Didn't see the call in question, but even if the ball drifts a little behind the diamond if the umpire deems n infielser may make a routine play then he can technically call an Infield Fly.

It was well out of the infield. It was a routine fly out for the left fielder.

It was the left fielders ball. Period.
The SS kept tracking and never even got there.. and look backed at his Left Fielder last second.
