I had never had chipotle until they opened up by campus. I went in expecting great things, especially after hearing how much better chipotle was. I was unimpressed by chipotle and prefer Izzos any day of the week. That's just my 2 cents.

The reason Chipotle is more limited on toppings / variety is two-fold:
1. Issues sourcing locally and/or "naturally grown" on some things at a reasonable cost. Stepping outside that model erodes their brand identity, and they have a lot more stores to manage than the other guys.
2. Speed of service is their other strength. Simpler=faster. The classic McDonalds way (their one-time owner).

Makes absolute sense. They do move a lot of people through their line quickly.
