Either:
A) We just didn't see that part of the tape
or
B) There are clues in the room to lead them to the next tape.

That will probably be shown in flashbacks next week.
ETA:
I've always thought the glyphs represented the overall theme of the episode. Episode 1 Walter losing his plan, Peter and Olivia's relationship...
Episode 2 Walter regrouping, the Guard seeing the possibility of the tides turning, Etta going against her nature through Olivia...
