I know lots of people that have. If you played baseball, you can likely name around 50 people off the top of your head.
I have newspaper clippings and baseballs that my mother saved.

Got robbed twice. Once when I was 12, again when I was 14. On the flip side, I never gave one up as a pitcher.
ETA: Playing home run derby a couple years back I hit a ball around 375 feet with a little league bat. Playing on a 220 foot field, went over the fence, over another fence, over the road, over another fence and hit the wall of a building about 20 feet up. Furthest I've ever hit a baseball.

Hit one when I was 9 or 10 in coach pitch little league. I know, I know: total badass.

I've hit about 20 in my career. Little league plus 5 years in high school(junior varsity to 11th grade)

Hit my first one at age 11. I hit it off of my cousin, who was the opposing pitcher. Crushed that sumbitch.

One season in Broussard playing for Don's Seafood hut. I had 3. This was back in early/mid 80's. Damn Kory Hollier would hit one a game seemed like!
I kept up with the balls unti last year I let my oldest have them for yard ball.

only a few playing baseball. got out of baseball when the curve ball came in .. . . . hit too many times. As an adult after college started playing softball - numerous hr's. played on several tournament teams and played all over. Oh to be young again. . . .
