Pretty much. I wouldn't blame it on KU's marketing dept because they can't force twitter to verify CWW's account. You don't see too many college coaching accounts that are verified. College marketing departments don't have much of an influence on twitter like the NFL marketing depts, NBA, etc.

Even if it's true, a school newspaper needs to point out the few bright spots on the team. Otherwise they are telling students not to go to the game.

The school newspaper has no obligation to be sunshine pumpers. That's the job of the SID's office. The students writing for that paper are honing their skills to be journalists in the real world. And if it's anything like the Reveille it makes a lot of its own revenue through ads so it's not beholden to the school to make it look good

I was at LSU in the 90s and the revielle always pointed out the few bright spots on the team. Kennison, Faulk, etc. as opposed to bashing everyone.
