you have to wonder what the frick the producers were doing hiring that hooker. She is 1. not talented 2. an attention whore. They cant be THAT desperate for viewers. I honestly wish she would get hit by a bus.

I think the producers may have thought that a few fireworks would cause some excitement and bring in some viewers in addition to bringing in some different judges to stir up interest. Sounds like they'll get some excitement. I turned on my TV and it happened to be on ABC and The View was on, which I think I've seen a part of once in my life. They were talking about the blowup. Barbara Walters said she called Maria this morning and she confirmed the blow up. Mariah also told her that after the incident, Minaj was heard by several employees to say something along the lines of "if I had a gun, I'd shoot that *&%$#. Mariah informed Barbara that she didn't feel good about it mentally or something along those lines and that she had hired extra security, though she doesn't think Minaj would actually do something like that. Mariah also said that Minaj said soemthing like "this may happen again" and Mariah said no it wouldn't. That's not exactly what it was as I didn't commit the quotes to memory, but close. The show was just on, but I assume the quotes and clips will be out there soon on some celebrity site.

Who knows what the real story is. This is only one side. For all we know, the producers could have urged this sort of thing to happen. There were plenty of articles out there about Mariah being unhappy about Minaj as a judge before it was actually sealed. Surely, the producers chatted with her as the first signee about the other choices, not that they would decide based on her preferences.

Oh, I'm sure they did...like someone said earlier, this is no doubt what AI wanted. They put those two together because they knew it would be a boiling pot of potential fighting. And they were right.

Yeah, if that happened, it was over the top. If the show turns into a soap opera, I'm turning it off. I'm already not to excited over the judges. I could give Urban and Mariah a chance, but the thought of seeing Minaj is not a pleasant one.

To me, it looks like NM is feeling a little intimidated by MC and is lashing out. MC is making more money than she is on the show and that probably didn't sit well with NM and her ego.
