It's not just the football. It's the people. It's the attitude. Alabama is the "State of Perception". I've never worked/lived in a place where people, in general, try to stereotype one another based on perceptions. They can't seem to accept people at face value here.

As far as the football goes, the sportsmanship here is POOR. It is the worst I've ever seen it. "Bashing" doesn't even come close. Believe it or not, I've actually had to file complaints based on the types of ridiculous pranks and trash done to me when LSU has lost to Alabama or Auburn. It's not good hearted ribbing..it's taken to whole new level.
