Going down there in mid Oct, was thinking about bringing boat and sneaking in some fishing. Anyone fish the area, do any good?

I went to Stanislaus. We fished off the dock a good bit. I caught alot of flounder there.
But if you are in the Bay, you should shoot over to the Jordan River from there. There are some places you can get into reds and a spec here and there.

Went last week out of the bay. Picked up dead shrimp and headed to the taylor reef - about 2 miles due south of the bridges, caught as many puppy drum as we could handle, a handful of trout, and 7 reds. They are also producing the same around the bridges from what I hear. Good luck

Also, if you fish the Biloxi marsh you are technically fishing LA waters and can keep your LA limit IF you don't wet a line in MS waters. I've never been stopped after doing it so not sure how it would go down but my research says LA limit if no fishing MS water so take it fwiw
