Is UNCs gameplan the same as it was for LSU? Is Idahos defensive gameplan the same vs UNC as it was for LSU?

espn is showing 28-0 after 1st qtr. score to make it 35-0 was with 10:22 left in the 2nd. anyway what's the point of this post?

I'm thinking this attitude toward offensive football is a result of several different factors.

1. Fantasy football & video games - people become enamored with big offensive numbers, and detached from the physical aspect of football that separates the SEC, and in particular LSU.

2. The entertainment value of sports. The casual fan just enjoys scoring and explosive offense more than a quality defensive football. They are looking for titillation over efficiency.

3. The grass is always greener syndrome. We won by 40? So what? Look at OK St., they put up 80.

There are probably others, but this is what I can make out to be the main factors.
