80's 1HWs sounds like a good one. Or just one hit wonders in general.

Thought about that, but don't know the age demographics on here. One decade may get smashed quickly if it's primarily younger folks posting here, or vice versa.

TBH, the only reason I said in general is b/c I thought there was a good chance I wouldnt recognize a lot of the 80's ones. Im 27 FWIW.

There's a combination of younger and older folks here on the music board. Depending on participation it might break down pretty evenly. There are also a number of younger posters that are well versed in music from previous generations.

gotcha.
Next would be, overall genre or break it down to categories for the one hit wonders..
i.e....
pop/new wave or rock
would you want a newer rock one hit wonder, up against Dream Academy's Life in a northern town or When in Rome's The Promise or Murray Head's One Night in Bangkok....as an example? I don't listen to today's music much, so I can't give examples.

I just thought of another... actors trying singing!
Eddie Murphy - Party all the time
Don Johnson - Heartbeat
Tracy Ullman - They don't know about us
Patrick Swayze - She's like the wind
Jack Wagner - All I need
Bruce Willis - Respect yourself
Rick Springfield - Jesse's Girl
I'm sure there's at least 3 others out there.

I would consider myself pretty well versed in music but out of your combined last two posts I have only heard two of the songs. Why not pick something a little less obscure.

Those all got a good bit of radio play. In the 80's.
