I agree with the original post that the system is unfair. I shouldn't be directed at alabama though. Yes they have a much easier SEC schedule than LSU virtually ever year. But that is the way the smart people at nonLSU schools want and the dumb ones at LSU want it.

People demand national championships here now want LSU to play Fla ever single year. If Fla. wins the east we we get the luck task of having to beat them twice if we win the west, which isn't likely because we have to play two teams in the east that are better than anyone from the east that alabama has to play.

It isn't fair to not rotate the east division opponents. There is no logic that says it is fair. We are stuck with a system that is not fair. Saddest part is half the people here like getting screwed on the schedule.

This has always mystified me as well. I just want it equal over time. Florida has a natural recruiting advantage over Tenn and will always be better on average. I got no problem playing Fla every year...long as Bama plays them too.

This was never a problem when Bama was down and Auburn was our main competition in the west...they play Ga every year and I consider that a much more equal opponent.

Bama wants to play Tenn every year? Fine, put them and Auburn in the East and put Fla and Mizzou in the west and see how they like them apples.

When you're the best team in the country, it doesn't matter who's on the schedule, they're all worse than you.

The rotation is unbalanced due to Bama not wanting to give up the annual game with Tenn. The SEC offices this past year had 5( LSU, Florida, South Carolina, Arkansas, Kentucky) schools in favor of rotating 2 cross divisional teams every two years on a staggered format with 8 conference games, 5 ( Miss State, Texas A&M, Missouri, Ole Miss, Vandy) schools wanting to go with 9 conference games 2 wanting a common opponent and 3 wanting 3 rotating cross divisional opponents every 2 years and 4 ( Alabama, Tenn., Auburn, Georgia) schools that wanted to play 8 conference games with 1 rotating cross divisional opponent and one cross divisional rival. The SEC decided to cave to the format that had the least support in the vein of keeping with tradition. The biggest stump thumper for the current format was Alabama so yes the outrage for this should be directed at Alabama as well as Tenn, Georgia and Auburn. Why are their traditions more important than the rest of the member institutions?
