A little off-topic: Les, the Program Killer

No, this isn't a nega-tiger thread. I'm not talking about him killing our own program...
early in his time at LSU, Les had an unusual series of bowls:
2005, Peach Bowl, total demolition of highly ranked Miami, the U... never to be heard from again.
2006, Sugar Bowl, total demolition of highly ranked Notre Dame, those NBC-favorite lovable Irish... never to be heard from again (until maybe now, but hopefully someone punds them back into the dirt)
2 storied, national programs, left for dead like a drunken bum in an alley off Bourbon, after LSU put epic arse-whippings on them.
So, which program would you most like to suffer that same fate? What fanbase would you like to have to think of us, the Tigers, whenever they try to recall their lost glory and where it went? "It was all good, and then we played LSU, and everything just went to hell afterwards"
Myself, it still goes to USC. I'd love nothing more than to drop a 41-3 beatdown on them, and have their program give up the ghost afterwards.

I would like this to happen to Florida every year. I hate those bastards.

A non conference opponent? I'm with you on USC.
An SEC opponent? Bama.

2007: tOSU ends up on probation trying to keep up with LSU
2008: Haven't heard anything from GT and their triple option

quote:Yeah, I'm thinking non-conference, because of the bowl aspect (and I don't think we'll ever see another 1-2 SEC matchup like last season). Brutal ending to a good season, and absolute shite forevermore.

USC is kinda on a short list, in large part due to the SEC dominance (it's getting tough to find other "storied programs" of similar stature). Nebraska is gone, Fla St not yet back... we had chances against Ohio St but they stayed afloat, and Penn St beat us (and is now never going to be the same).
My ultimate dream game of course would be to have Musburger calling the total annihilation of USC, but even then, the sanctions would be invoked.
Anyone else we can kick out of the winner's club? Boise?

I would just love to beat the living tar out of USC. It goes back to 2003.
The media hyped them up the following year, and then the following year when they played Texas.
Then the crap hit the fan and they were hit with a bunch of stuff from the NCAA, so they laid low for a couple years.
Now, they're bowl eligible again and the media picks up right where they left off. It's crazy.
OMG, yes, please. Another thing we all have to listen to/read every year.
"But what about Boise State? It's Chris Petersen, yadda yadda yadda......" They conveniently leave out who Boise plays.
Bring on Boise. Crap, we'll play you up on the smurf field.

USC without a doubt. living in Pac-12 territory sucks!

One loss is insufficient to do it, but I'd love to kill Bama. If we put 2 or 3 serious beat downs in a row on them, then Saban would start adjusting to attempt to compete with us and this would only weaken them further. It's a tall order, but it would be sweet.

Obviously a non-factor now but going into the title game LSU was in a position to beat Alabama 4 times in a row in 2012 and really put a stake in Saban's heart.

...And so we start over.

There doesn't seem to be anyone else...
...I would love for us to beat Bama by a ton, but I'll take a 'V' anyway I can.
Then another beatdown of Oregon in Miami.
USC, Texas, FSU, and OU just all seem weak and unappealing...

USC is the only one. No one else ooc gets on my nerves or they are already on the decline.
ETA: We may need to kill Notre Dame again. This time for good

I'd like to see Texas go away.

Hell no. I would be unable to watch that on TV. that field gives me a headache. Anytime they are on Television, I change the channel quickly... Now a beat-down on neutral turf, Tiger Stadium, or anywhere else, yes...
