It may not seem like it, but it is. It's horrible.

haha I did exactly the opposite... I finished 7th in 2012, sold Suarez (to Barca of all places) over the summer and bought Dzeko. Won the league.

I think I'm going to stick with Leeds in the career I have and start a new one with either Liverpool or Arsenal. Which should I go with?

Liverpool, you'll have to do a bit of work to actually become a good/top EPL squad, but it's not impossible

I'm leaning that way too. Long drought, great fans/ground, and a good enough talent base to build on.

I'm in my first season with Tottenham, and Deuce is leading the EPL in goals with a few weeks left in the season

I mentioned it earlier in this thread. I made three moves in the summer after my first season (sold Suarez, bought Dzeko and Mertesacker) and went from 7th to 1st. A lot of talent is there, but a lot of it is young (Sterling has the potential to be a beast just fyi).

Can't go wrong with either. A lot of young talent on both. Your initial expectations at Liverpool will probably be less than at Arsenal.

Do any of y'all modify the custom tactics?

I do. I put aggression and pressure up between 65-70. That way my back line isn't just standing around when they're dribbling in the box, which is what usually happens.

Of course.

Wish manager mode was just slightly more immersive. Wish you could actually buy things with your weekly wage (why even have it if not?).

Wish you could spend the club's money on something other than players. I have like $80M sitting in the bank because I like the team I have (about half academy products and the other half bought players). Kinda pointless really.

Not necessarily, my expectation in the first season was to win the league and win the euro league, did neither

Anyone think they could work up a good one for Barca? I make the passing short and the build up slow but it seems to make the game really bland, there's no risky runs.

Mos def. I didn't change anything from the default besides shortening up the passes and allowing down the build up a bit.

Does seem like manager mode makes it a little too easy to build a super team

If you have money, yeah...but it's always been like that.

Not necessarily the case. I started with 1M pounds and now have 20M in the bank with Fleetwood. For some reason my scouts bombarded me with ridiculously good Mids. I'm slowly but surely building a super team. My first ever signing was a ST. He's now 22 y/o and an 85 OVR. Real just offered me 60M for him. But I like him too much...

I've consistently sold about 4-7 youth players every year at about 4M per. Currently I'm trying to sell my 19 y/o ST that's 76 OVR. I have an offer of 8.5M right now but I'm holding out for higher.
