They better explain why Barney is trying so hard to act like he was present for these events because as of now it's a stupid ploy to get Barney involved in the episode.

You're hating on them for having Barney be Barney. Completely ridiculous.
I thought that was one of the better episodes of the last few seasons. Laughed pretty hard at multiple parts. Maybe I'm just easy to please.

Barney is the best part of the show. Why wouldnt they try to force him himto the episode?
Flashbacks of Barneys sexual quest are even better. Should be atleast 50 percent of the episode really.
Only thing bothering me is that Barney And Robin are about to get married and Robin has had no inclination to tell Barney she cant have kids

This episode sucked.
Lilly breakdown and fight with Marshall, the whole Captain story over and over was fricking stupid.
Shitty filler episode yet again.

I thought the episode was great. I liked how Ted hi-fived the waiter in the first version of the story, then kept knocking him over in the other versions.
Didn't Robin already tell Barney about not being able to have kids?

Dude that's the whole point of a sitcom. Do you really watch sitcoms for the romantic storylines? If so i recommend switch your viewing habits over to abc family or the CW. Plot should really only serve as frameworks to get jokes in.

The only reason people are even still watching this show is to see who the mother is.
Shitty filler episodes like this that don't advance the plot any suck, people are ready for this show to be over.

I liked last night's episode. I feel like they do go to the "Let's tell this story multiple ways" well too much sometimes, but I enjoyed it last night. Ted high-fiving the waiter's tray kept cracking me up for some reason. And I liked the resolution of Lilly getting a new job and making her schooling worthwhile...that was nice.
And Robin always looks good...never understood why people think she fluctuates so much, because she doesn't.

Did you like last week's? Because it was basically the same technique. I really liked that part of it, to see how the truth kept coming out the more the story was told and how far from reality their recollections were.

I don't know why, but I hated the technique when they kept flashing to Robin and Lilly further in the future. On the other hand, I loved the way they did it for this episode. Maybe it just fit better with this story. The first go around, you're thinking that a lot of this stuff doesn't make sense (Captain pointing a harpoon at Ted, him mouthing he is going to kill him) then as the show progresses, everything makes way more sense. Like someone said earlier, that was one of the funnier episodes of the past few seasons.
My only problem was that Robin kissed the Captain, and Barney didn't even react to it. Not really a big thing, but it just stuck out to me.

The episode was fine. Barney trying to get into the story was definitely forced and seemed kind of out of character but I laughed a lot which is all I can really ask for at this point. Ted's girly scream always kills me.
