re: How I Met Your Mother Season 8 full season thread

Are there any characters that the group knows but Ted never met? That's the only mindfrick that I can think of that would be a character that has meaning to the viewers but would still have not met Ted yet.

I still think it's Barney's sister, even if that doesn't fit my above paragraph.

I don't think that really matters. They probably just used whoever they could find to play the part. I highly doubt that actress is the same one that ends up being Mrs. Ted Mosby.

I honestly don't know. I missed the first few seasons and don't know if it's established that future Ted (Saget) is married to their mother or whatever.

Last night's episode was just okay for me. I agree with most people in that it was funny with the prenup and rules thing, but that's a stupid way to end the relationship that's been awesome for the last season or so. Definitely seemed way too forced. I also agree that it's fine if they want to end things or change things around, but don't just randomly do it in half an episode.

The "x-fiancee' in Ted's apartment" was abnormally stupid.

Barney's dad mentioned in one episode that Barney's sister was away at college. It would make sense that Ted meets her leaving Barney's wedding.

I believe in the episode where he visits his father's family for dinner a reference is made to a sister off in college.

We know she was a student in the ECON class mistakingly lectured as an architecture class. She could've been a grad student or TA at that point.

It would take some crazy terrible writing and backtracking for it not to be about his wife

he always talks about how he fell in love with their mother and all that. Plus they call him Dad multiple times

Here is how it ends.

Barney leaves Robin at the Altar b/c he has cold feet and gay feelings for Ted. Barney gets a sex change so that he and Ted can get married. They get married and adopt two kids. The end.
