Yep, any creeping grass likes sand because it's easy for it to get roots in it and it holds water well.

So you guys think sand over silt?
I'm still concerned that the grass won't grow in time and I'll be stuck with a front yard full of sand/silt. The area that the tracks cover is pretty big.
