I have 5 gal that I am gettIng ready to bottle. If I want to add Strawbeery extract to half the batch how much do I add? I read to add with the priming sugar. TIA.

Hmmmmmm, I don't have an answer for you, but I would be a little scared of adding strawberry AND priming sugar at bottling. I may be way off, but that just sounds like a recipe for overcarbonation, at best. Worst case, you will be cleaning up a sticky mess with glass mixed in.

if you are using extract use significantly less than you think and/or the bottle tells you to. That at least has been my experience.

Would you consider secondary fermenting onto some actual strawberries? It will add a couple weeks, but you may like your result better, and not have to worry about bottle bombs.

If it is the concentrated extract, it should not contain too much sugar. Just throttle back a little on your carbonating sugar.

I would look at what is recommended for 5 gal, then half it, then multiply by 0.8.

I would add it at when racking to the secondary. Then you can taste it before bottling and see if you need to add more. I just used a graham cracker flavoring extract and added 2 drops from an eyedropper when racking to secondary.
