Okay this one is just a thought, I usually bash my Notre Dame friend about his sorry Irish. Yet this year I assumed there schedule would be a walk over....but it is a legitimate tough schedule.
Navy*
Purdue
@Michigan St.
Michigan
Miami*
Stanford
BYU
@Oklahoma
Pitt
@Boston College
Wake Forest
@USC
If you pretended conference games would be...
Purdue
Michigan St
Michigan
Standford
USC
Wake Forest
Boston College
Pitt
And there non-conference looked like...
Navy
Miami
BYU
Oklahoma
How do you think SEC teams would fair against this schedule? I know LSU and the Gumps would handle it, but I am not so sure about our other SEC brethen...Thoughts?

not gonna lie...that's a tough schedule...only Bama and LSU could go undefeated with that schedule.

And even Bama and LSU could possibly drop one. It is a very tough sched. Having said that, Notre Dame might be my pick in every game except Oklahoma.

Some brand name pretenders in that group, but it's respectable. About 5 good contests.

I think it's fair to say that various SEC teams would fair differently.
It's very tough top to bottom.

Michigan
Stanford
@Oklahoma
@USC
All very legit games and there are no cupcakes or guaranteed victoies, although Navy appears to be pretty bad.

Undefeated. I mean Oklahoma would be a good game.

As for LSU and BAMA I was saying...

LSU and bama can play with anyone. Florida, Georgia, Carolina and MSU all seem to be on the right track. Tenn, Auburn, Vandy, Arkansas all have some talent. Kentucky and ole Miss suck. tam is a cult...and Missou is to the SEC like alaska is to US, an afterthought.
if the domers get through that sched with one loss they will be in the natcham game. bama vs the domers....what's not to hate.

The question is how would Notre Dame do in the SEC. You are right; the Irish have a tough schedule.

Impossible to say. I will say that if they run that schedule, they absolutely deserve to play for the tile. Props to ND for making a real schedule

Another question; how would ND fare against, say, ole miss' schedule? They wouldn't leave the division without at least 4 losses.

Two top 4 SEC caliber level teams - Oklahoma and USC.
