If he comes to LSU, his family can see him play every week. If he goes to Miami, apparently no one will see him play ever.

He was what five last time they were relevant?

He'll be at LSU and that is yet another reason why irresponsible people shouldn't have access to these kids on Twitter and Facebook. Why berate these kids and get involved in something that's a personal decision? Asking him his impressions of the attendence at a Miami game? Why? What purpose does it serve? He's not making his decision based on how many fans are in the seats. I love recruiting and think it's exciting and fascinating but I would never get in any way involved with pressuring a kid or putting myself into a decision that is a personal one for someone I don't even know.
I'm not talking about the people that follow the kids Twitter accounts and their posts on Facebook. No issue with that and even the recruiting sites do that. Having casual conversation or making encouraging comments are fine as well but don't try to influence these kids. It's not our decision or place to do that. fricking creepy shite.

Why are you stalking his twitter?

How can playing at Miami help his family? I don't want to question his decision making ability but I feel like there is something I'm missing. Location, coaching staff and player development, education, national exposure, chance to play for championships...why Miami with the future sanctions pending.

Tim, University of Miami isn't in South Beach. In fact, it isn't even in Miami.

Oh but the tail is on south beach.

Miami hasn't had a Defensive lineman drafted in the 1st rd since Vince Wilfork.

I know negative recruiting exists.
With that said, with my business I regularly bid against other companies. Sometimes we win on price alone, but much more often the decision is made on the comfort level the customer has with a particular company.
I have never won a job by talking down on my competition. In fact, I regularly win jobs after someone talks bad about me, and then I come in and impress the customer.
You make yourself look like a dumbass if you talk bad about something, and then the prospect actually is impressed with that something.
