Anyone ever listen to this guy, or the Red House Painters? Kinda mellow, but the guy is a good songwriter. Good campfire music.

Mark Kozelek is one of my all-time favorite songwriters, and Red House Painters 'Rollercoaster' is in my top 10 of all time albums. I'm a fan.

I like it recorded, but I almost fell asleep watching him at the Mermaid a few years back...

I've heard a couple of his songs and really enjoyed them. Really like that style of music.

I love his modest mouse cover album, but haven't heard much of his other stuff.

I think Ghosts of the Great Highway is his best work, followed by April.

Although April is my favorite for entirely personal reasons, I agree with your assessment. Admiral Fell Promises is up there too. I love the classical guitar sound.
