One of my fraternity brothers is married to the Picadilly heiress. I guess their net worth just took a big hit
after katrina i was visting my GF at the time who was with her family staying at a friends house in BR.. big nice house, well anyway, they invite me to dinner, so i accept and ask where we are going, they said Piccadilly, i made a face, a "that place blows" face. my gf nudged me and gave me a dirty look. their host looked at me and said "I own all the Piccadillies in south Louisiana"
My Gf and her family moved out the next day.

Piccadilly is one of the biggest companies headquartered in Baton Rouge. Big loss for the city.

No one in Louisiana after Katrina owned Piccadilly cafeterias. It was bought out of a 2003 bankruptcy by a California investment group.
The worst thing Piccadilly ever did was buy Ralph and Kacoos for $38 million in the late 80's. The Olindes could not have gotten more money with a gun and a mask. It was the deathnail for them. They were going to partner with Associated Grocers to open all the Piccadilly Express in the AG grocery stores.
