I agree, but my argument would be that the intended punt returner was actually the one who scooped up the block punt. He was the "Intended receiver of the punt" and he was the one who "received" it. I really hope someone calls them because I'm really curious.

Your argument wouldn't hold water because it was not officially ruled a return.
