I think they actually like the pitchiness. It's "unique."

It's good to have that unique pitch, and creative style. She could potentially get pretty deep in the competition based on that alone. As we have seen previously. But she wouldn't stand a chance at actually winning.

Not until I saw this cover a couple of years ago. Then I watched the video by Sublime and saw what it's about. Admittedly, it's not my usual kind of song, but I love her voice. She has a number of vids on youtube.

Just watched Monday's episode last night and here are my thoughts from that:
- I love love love the steal aspect. You can still have great performances and both singers can stay afterwards for more. The big black guy and Amanda at the end did amazing and both deserved to stay. Glad they did
- Surprised that nobody picked up JR after he got cut. Dude seemed pretty good.
- 2Steel Girls: the mom is not too good. The daughter would have been better off coming on the show by herself. The girl they lost to has some awesome tittays though
- I was disappointed in Nelly's Echo's performance. He tried to do too much and missed. He sounded much better in the rehearsals.
