Ruffin Rodrigue said today on 104.5 that he thinks if Jindal had won in 2004, Emmret and Saban would still be here.

Saban left for the siren song of the NFL, not money, I am not sure how the Emmert situation impacted him.

Saban was going to the NFL regardless. He played footsies with the pros every year he was at LSU and was just waiting for the time to bolt. No hard feelings, but he was using us as we used him. He was never a longterm guy at LSU -- he had to scratch that NFL itch.
