Just curious. Haven't seen anything in media about it.

In what regard? All around?

We already have a punt return touchdown so we should be at the top for that category. Punts were pretty good too.

Ole Miss has 2 QBs ranked in the Top 5 in the SEC in QB Efficiency. Do you think that is an accurate statement of how good their QBs are? Do you think any ranking of our Special Teams will also show an accurate ranking of how we stack up against the nation after one game? Didn't think so. Let's just watch the games and come back 5 games into the season and rehash this question.

so by your logic I guess LSU shouldn't be ranked #3 in the nation since only 1 game played? jeez

One game, against a glorified hs team. I would hope they would be at the top.

I think our punt game is where we hurt the most without TM7.

TM7 and Brooks were outstanding gunners last year. We lost both.

We obviously have the punters and kickers.. We obviously have a good returner in OBJ. I think gunners is the place that we take a drop off from last year.

Thank You! I was just looking for an opinion not actual stats.

Our backup punter is the second best punter in the SEC. Boom. Shaka. Laka.

Thanks that's the type of info I was trying to get. Just curious how we stack up against teams like Alabama, Auburn and Florida in talent.

then your title's a bit misleading

and here's Chris Low's breakdown, though it's obviously pre-Tyrann suspension LINK

CFN probably has one as well. I just remembered that Low/ ESPN's SEC blog tends to do unit/ player rankings a few times a year.

I don't remember, did Jarvis Landry play special teams last weekend? He had some huge hits last year on ST.

he was def on punt returns, not sure about coverage. but I'd bet he would be. Les was taling up Danielle Hunter in preseason, but I didn't notice anything he did.

I did notice Mills trying to strip a returner Tyrann-style.
