Braves fans, Is Uggla done as a regular for the Braves?

He has 3 years and 39 million left on his deal and was benched for Prado.
He is getting on base at a nice clip (.340) but his average is actually lower than last year (.233 vs .208) and the power is down (36 vs 17). However he has already reached last years amount of doubles (22) and is on pace for more RBI than last year. Seems as streaky as Uggla is he can catch fire if they continue to trot him out much like he did last year.

They may shop him during the winter just to see if they get any bites, but I'm pretty sure he will go into spring training as the starting 2B.

He wasn't benched for Prado, Prado is an everyday player, he just can play every position
I guess you could say he was benched for Constanza?

Prado starting at 2B and Reed Johnson in left now

We can only hope. Aside from one month last season he has been absolutely horrible.

IMO he's the type of bat you'd want in your lineup in the postseason - at least for this year.
Maybe this offseason you can trade him to the crazy arse Dodgers for one of their AA pitchers.

Prado going back to 3B after this year or re-sign & start Francisco?

Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez is benching three-time All-Star second baseman Dan Uggla. Uggla is hitting only .208. Martin Prado is starting at second base against Colorado on Monday for the second straight day.
Reed Johnson has been hitting .322/.355/.390 since coming over from Chicago, and he will likely slide into left field more often with Uggla benched.

not sure the money situation in the ATL but I can see D Wright in the mix for next season.

I think Fatty is still under team control for a while. I'd like to see him get a crack at being the everyday 3B next year. You don't find that kind of raw power very often, and his defense has been respectable after those first couple of games where he was fricking up anything hit his way.

I thought he had a pretty good second half last season and a solid start to this year. He tailed off BIG time after that but I wouldn't say his entire career for the Bravos has been horrible by any stretch. At the worst I'd say he's been an above-average player who's streaky as Peej's hanes after a weekend bender.

can anyone tell me why Uggla made the all star team this year?
I remember spewing tea out of my mouth when they called his name.

Completely agree with what your saying but all of the 2B for the NL had pretty shitty stats at the break.

Because the fans voted him in, and most fans are complete morons.
