Only caveat is that my two nephews will be with me, ages 6 and 11. Looking for something with a fun atmosphere. Thanks guys.

Those places, like Felix's Fish Camp and others, out in the bay have fun atmosphere. People argue about the food quality as always, but I've had some good meals there.

The kids would enjoy the place, but at busy times, they might not be able to deal with the wait.

I still like Wintzell's, but go to the one downtown and avoid the one on Airport Blvd.

This. Wintzell's gets a bad rap on this board but I've always had a good experience at the original one downtown.

Baudean's on the way to Dauphin Island is my favorite place for seafood by far... Never disappoints when I am home for a visit.

Felix's and Bluegill are both awesome! Can't go wrong with either. Bluegill is more laid back if that's what you are looking for.
