Well He and Aaron Murray were neck and neck as freshman at UGA and the "groping" incident help make the decision for Richt. So, I don't doubt Mett can sling it. However, I do believe that the media has anointed Barkley as Tom Brady the second and it's his to lose. With no one outside of Oregon being halfway decent it will be tough for anyone else to win it. Still nice to see some people are looking at him for that spotlight.

I'm as much of a sunshine pumper as you'll ever find. Even I don't dare to hope that all three of these things will happen!

I never understood it either. If a candidate is on an undefeated team, the player could rush for 300 yards and 6 touchdowns, but because the team lost, all of a sudden his heisman stock slips. I will never understand the media and their retarded ways.

Yep just some more biased hatred from ESPN

This is awesome by the way. Don't let my negative attitude toward our dumbass fans that actually think they hate us get in the way of how amazing it can be to have a heisman hopeful QB.

Yet RGIII wins the heisman with Baylor and their record last year? I don't think you've got it right.

One year doesn't eliminate the many many many years that have gone by what I said.

At the least, the guy on the team that has a shot at the title is going to get an edge over everyone else, even if he isn't really better.

He is an extreme long shot in my opinion and it has nothing to do with his talent.

Tebow won it with what, 3losses? Many times the best player is on one of the best 2-3 teams. Specially when we are talking qb, wins are important to judging a qb moreso than other positions.

Kiper pumping mett as a heisman hopeful right now on espn

ETA: said he has the best tackle tandem in all of football, plays for a great team, and has a wr that can really catch it in obj.

Said if we have a season like last year's, he'll be in the discussion

Nice! I didn't catch that.

Still a long shot, IMO.

Tebow won it with like 32 passing touchdowns and 23 rushing touchdowns, and only 6 int's. Stats to never be replicated again

Sure, if "never...again" only means 3 seasons. Cam threw for 30 and ran for 20, too, I believe.

And I can't believe that some of you dumbasses are still perpetuating this myth that the media annoints a winner before the season and nobody else has a chance. This is just blatantly not true.

I hope so... I've loved Mett since he got on campus!! I kept sayIng all year last year it was a shame the best qb was on the sideline during the WHOLE mess. I hope he lives up to my hype!!
