Spags has experience as HC and Carmichael has experience running the offense. Yet we have Vitt as Interim coach, and Kromer as interim-interim coach.

Are we trying to make sure there is no question Payton will be our Coach next year, or just avoiding shopping off our Coordinators?

Or do they really think this is the best idea.

Kromer is the man.

it allows Carmichael to call plays and worry about the offense and Spags to worry about the defense. Its the best choice

so in essence they both serve as what? Figure heads? the best pep talk givers at thestart of a game and half time?

they're going to be dealing with the media, challenges, and the refs.

We're giving the position coaches more responsibility because they should be less swamped than the two coordinators.

Are we?

No jose. CSP is. This is how HE wanted it. How he stuctured it before he left. If you have problems with the way the staff is being handled then your beef is with Payton. I'll trust in his decisions I do believe

I can't understand how this is a problem with anyone. This team and franchise were built with a strong foundation. These position coaches and coordinators are Payton's. Leaving Carmichael and Spags to the game planning is the best option. Kromer will be fine.

I'm with you. He's basically gonna be an administrator, running team meeting, managing timeouts and challenges, paying attention to what's happening on the field while Carmichael/Spags make adjustments. I'm not sure why some wanted Spags or Carmichael to act as head coach.

This coaching set up allows for the littlest possible disturbance to normal status quo for the team and allows the heavy burden of the coordinators to do their jobs to the best of their abilities.
