Did Lee play in San Diego game last night? Was he hurt or is this bad sign?

They were trying to get Whitehurst back up to speed after his injury, but I would have thought Lee could get 2 series or so.

This was expected. The first week of preseason the starter never goes more than a series or two. The Chargers #2 qb was injured. Therefore, J Lee got the unique chance to play most of the first preseason game. This week, Rivers needed more reps, and the #2 was available to play. I guess the Chargers needed the #2 to catch up on his missed reps from the previous week. J Lee may still be in line for a #3/practice squad spot.

He had a really good game last week, so Norv benched him this week without explanation. Les told them he found it was the best way to keep JL motivated.

Whitehurst has pics of Norv Turner is the only reasonable explanation.

Lee already locked up the starting job. This game was about who is backing him up. It looks like Clipboard Jesus has the inside track on the Rivers guy.
