Then why werent the kingsguard with the king? More kingsguards to defend the crown prince's concubine/possible second wife than the actual king?

The kingsguard is sworn to protect and obey the king's family - that includes the prince, the prince's girlfriend, and the prince's bastards.

If Prince Rheagar gave the kingsguard an order to protect Lyanna and her child, they would be sworn to do so with their lives.
