It could be Jon Snow, but I still see Tyrion as the likely reveal.

I think it could be both. Tyrion the Targaryen explains so much.

-His bookish nature often seen in Targaryens
-His boyhood dreams of Dragons
-His would be half sister Danys saving him from the lions in the pit (fricking irony there)
-Varys and Illyrio's unexplained loyalty and friendship to Tyrion
-It would get him off the hook as a kinslayer

And who are the first three chapters from in A Dance With Dragons?.... Tyrion, Daenerys, and Jon.

hmmmm...

Question: Does anybody think Renly will be coming back. A friend thinks he will and I just can't see it.

I keep coming back to the Azor Ahai prophecy. For some reason I just don't see them following the part where he tempers the blade by thrusting it into his wife/lover's chest. Martin's no shrinking violet when it comes to violence, even by "heroes" and even against "innocents". But that just kind of rings wrong.

So, I'm kind of leaning to that being one of those sort of warped prophecies.

Though I could kind of see it with say Dany in the role the AA and Jon in the role of Nisi Nisi. Kind of bringing it full circle from when he killed the Halfhand.

I think most of that could be from a psychological stand point. He is a dwarf. He wants to be in a dream land that doesn't exist anymore. The real world is too cruel for him.

I think his book studies has provided intellect that is backed up by known facts and history and can exert himself with confidence.

Samwell Tarly is into books when the rest of his family clearly isn't, so I don't really see it as true.

I'm just thinking that's more prophesy. I do think he'll ride a dragon eventually.

They're not loyal or really friends with Tyrion. They just know they can use Tyrion to their advantage. He's intelligent, resourceful, his family despises him, he's greatly underestimated, aspires for greatness, knows a ton about dragons, and they could offer him Casterly Rock if he'll take down his remaining family.

Which would be bullshite.

I'd say its more the fact that each of them accidentally killed their mother when coming out of the womb.
