Specifically when Oberyn and Tyrion meet and when he says he'll be his champion. So much better than the book.
And the Arya/Tywin scenes in the show instead or the Arya/Roose scenes at Harenhall in the book. A MASSIVE upgrade.

I really wish they do a tales of Dunk and Egg prequel.
I completely agree with this. I like those short stories almost more than the ASOIAF series.
In regards to Brienne:
Because she's managed to frick up everything she's tried to do thus far:
Become Rainbowguard knight to Renly (Y)
- Protect him from a murderous by a shadow (N)
Get Jaime Lannister back to Tywin (Y)
- in one piece (N)
Get the Stark girls back to Cat Stark in one piece (N)

To be fair, that task is impossible.

You're right, but she didn't do anything either. She just sorta stood there and watched rather than try to push him out of the way or some shite like that.

To be fair she nor anyone else could save Renly from a shadow count demon
And the hand thing was out of her control.
No excuse for the stark girls.

You can't push a shadow...

I think they meant push Renly. At least I hope they meant that

Yeah, that was a much better moment for Oberyn to tell Tyrion on how he first met him. Really liked how the show did it much better than the books.

Yes, obviously.

I don't think it would have mattered in the ultimate outcome. Push him and just delay the inevitable.

Absolutely not

Arya/Tywin scenes
I loved these scenes as well. Tywin recognized her as noble born but didn't pursue it because he was under the impression that both Stark girls were secure at the Red Keep. I really wish they had shown that moment when he's told that Arya had disapeared.

Hey guys I wanted to share this link with y'all.
LINK
ETA: It's an interesting link and it's obvious he changed the story up quite a bit and it went from a trilogy to a huge huge huge epic obviously.
There's a line in the second paragraph which struck a chord and I just had to share it with y'all. It's very telling to me about why he's taking so long with these books.

That's probably as close as we'll ever get to book endings.
I thought the same thing reading that line.

If only he would include this on the first page of every ASOIAF book

Yeah, definitely.
I saw where some reddit folks where trying to decipher the redacted last paragraph.

And with the series possibly passing up the books, the show has become even more relevant.
Yes and no. They are deviating more than ever from the books and that is not a good thing. But there is really no choice as the fat man is dicking around all the time.

I hear you, but I guess what I should say is it ultimately represents Jon.

Stand alone the show is probably one of my top 3 series of all times. There have been a few moments that the show has raised the bar above the book, but the instances of it falling below have been much more frequent. I think the two are just at a difficult spot now that I'm not sure will work out very well. I think they can pull off an alternate ending type deal where you see how one path would take the series, then we get the other with the book. Martin will not finish the series though, so it's going to be someone not him in both instances anyway.

Thanks for posting this. Really good find. He's already changed his mind so much so no telling how wrong we will all end up being
