Please try to be civil and level headed with this please.

Through a series of events I am now a Oregon Ducks season ticket holder, I know my family will shame me. Well I went to the Sping game and have been pondering this ever since. I haven't heard much about the QB situation, but who do you believe will be starting this year? I know Bennett has the experience-ish and has been there longer than the Flyin Hawaiian... BUT, he was outplayed vastly in the Spring Game... So, what is the take of the Oregon fans here?

I do not venture to other teams message boards, so... Yeah.

Traitor. Both QBs suck, it won't matter. DIAF

I don't think anyone knows. And I think most Duck fans realize the offense will fly no matter who it is in Chip's system.

Bennett was awesome vs ASU and I got to see him in person starting vs CU in Boulder last year. There is also a lot of hype behind Mariota with his Spring Game performance, as you said.

Honestly, I am more interested in the development of the running backs behind Barner and DAT.

Ask all the oregon fans at the games why they can't win a track outdoor title

Two questions for you.

1) Is RileyTime a reference to Mike Riley? If not, what?

2) If you live in Olympia, wouldn't it be a lot easier to be a U-Dub season ticket holder? Just curious why you chose the Ducks. Little bit of a drive there.

My guess is that Mariota wins the battle. There is a lot of buzz surrounding Mariota because of his demeanor and presence in the pocket. His high school coach (St. Louis high school in Hawai'i - lots of D1 talent) said that Mariota's throwing motion was similar to Andrew Luck. He seems to have better mechanics than Bennett. However, Bennett has an abolute cannon for an arm and unfortunately practice isn't conducive to his style. He plays very physical.

As for the depth behind Barner and DAT, it looks like Bralon Addison is going to step up in a big way. He is standing out already. Bralon will probably back up DAT in the slot back/rb role. Byron Marshall is getting good reviews from Campbell and the latter isn't prone to effusive praise.

The wide receivers are going to be much improved. We haven't entered a season the last three years with this much returning. Our corp in 2010 had Maehl and LT but not near as much depth behind them.
