Best place to get bows worked on?

I used to get good service from Bowie but I will never step foot in that trap again. They went down big time. I'm looking for someone else to do business with that cares about what they do.

I went to Bowie the other day, and while they can do everything, their prices were sky-high. They wanted $150 to restring a basic bow. No fancy strings or anything. I walked out of there trying to think of a way to build a bow jig

Wow, I thought I got robbed paying $75. Was that a string and cable?

Thanks Boats, I'll go check them out. I used to use them almost 20 years ago. Anyone use Cabelas lately? I was told Cabelas has improved their archery department.

I use cabelas usually because I got my bow there and they do stuff for free. It's kinda hit and miss. I knew a guy that used to work there and he knew his shite. Some of the guys there are good, but a couple you probably don't want working on your bow.

I know it may be a little far for you, but Bayou Land Bowhunters in Lafayette does good work reasonable.
Hell, the dude restrung my crossbow for nothing.

Archery Unlimited in Hammond. May be a little far for you, but I recently got into bow hunting. They went above and beyond getting me ready for bow season

I bought mine, one guy was working and set it up. Had to bring it back after I shot it because the d loop was loose and the peep wasn't tied one right and the string twisted a little. Guys working there that day, who knew what they were doing, told me if I bring it in for something again don't give it to the guy I bought it from

Guy epoxied a fish point onto the nock end of my fiberglass arrow and then had to sharpen the other end for the nock after I explained why his nocks wouldn't fit on my arrow.

There's only one guy there that I let work on my bow these days. He's really good. The others, not so much.

I actually use Bowie's to replace the string on my Razortec. It was over $100 but the string itself was a majority of the cost.
