So a year long suspension isn't enough for Alleva?

That is a significant punishment. I'm not sure why we would not allow a player to sit out an entire year, get it together, go to school, do what he needs to do, and come back to compete for the football team?
Just boggles my mind why Alleva would have such an internal policy that is stricter than anything the NCAA has.

A year is a long time for people to change their mind, I think it changes if HB sits the year out and stays outta trouble.

I don't know if we know the whole story. Got to trust Miles on this one. It makes me sick, but life goes on...

Apparently with the LSU Athletic Dept , its a pick and choose . I would hate to think of playing favorites but it seems this is the case. Maybe its my fault too because I just dont see the use of a natural herb that is made by the Good Lord being worse than alcoholic beverages made by man. Just my opinion.

logic would tell me that if they were playing favorites, Mathieu would be about the last guy you'd kick off the team.

us not letting him go to tenn is really hurting right now.

Logically you are very correct but in all my years of being a Tiger fan which dates back to 1964, I cant say that LSU always and concluseively follows what most of us would think would be logical such as some of the hires in the Athletic dept for instance.

Its the law and a team rule that he broke at least 3 times. If i fail a test at my job i'm done.....now warning , no suspension....
Joe Alleva is enforcing the rules TM7 didn't want to follow

I trust Les Miles completely. I don't trust Joe Alleva further than I can throw him, considering his past history at Duke.

Agreed. The kid is 20 years old. I'm not one for giving people free passes, but if Tyrann wants to stay enrolled at LSU, pay the tuition himself, get his act together and mature as a young man then come back in 2013 as a walk-on and play for the LSU Tigers, I have absolutely zero problem with that.

I just don't understand what's going on with the fanbase right now. He's a great player and all, but his loss will not set us back near as far as say, Ryan Perriloux.
The difference is we know TM7 has failed at least three drug tests, possibly four. To this day I don't know of anything RP actually did, yet y'all ran him outta town so fast he probably didn't even get a chance to pack.
Be consistent. If just being accused of something is just cause for being dismissed from the team (JJ, RP) then for sure failing at least three drug tests is grounds for it.

Can you explain to me how Bahnsen has the position to go on the radio and report to other organizations that TM is "permanently" ineligible based on our internal policy when it isn't true? Please help me understand how this happened. I'm sure he just did it unilaterally.
