Scarface: any "good" movie that time has been more unkind to?

Saw Scarface last night and man it is a 80's movie no doubt.

The musical montage of "Push it to the Limit", some of the overacting by Pachino, and the movie in general seems bad.

Has there been a "good" movie that time has been more unkind to than Scarface?

Pretty overrated movie IMO. There are several drug/crime thrillers that I'd rather watch.

Wasn't Scarface supposed to be one of the first movies to have the character that 80s movies would eventually be known for? Even though it was made in 1983, I was under the impression the first few years of 80s movies were very much in the 70s style.

I talked to someone a few weeks ago that tried to tell me Scarface was in the same tier as Goodfellas.

I pretty much hate the movie and his accent the entire time.

Pachino,

Wait. What?

Are you fricking kidding me?

Long panning shots, more dialogue driven, not as many cuts, more wide angle shots.

MTV and the quick cutting and close up action of music videos changed all that, especially starting with Purple Rain. Watch the musical montages in Purple Rain and you'll see what I mean.

I don't know man. I can see misspelling the name of, say, Gerard Depardieu, or maybe Marion Cotillard. But Al Pacino is pretty egregious.

I'm gonna have to leave this one up to your God. Above my pay grade. May your God have mercy on your soul.

De Nero, Pachino, and Marlin Brandeaux were great in the Godfarzha I & II.

No way.

Scarface is pretty good movie, but I've never been a huge fan and have no desire to rewatch it despite not having seen it in over 5 years.

I'll go with "Some Like it Hot", which is still considered a classic, but was probably a lot funnier when dudes dressing like women wasn't nearly as common on screen.

I watched Jumanji recently... Every animal that came out of the game looked so fake.
